Cute Frithia seedlings

Long time no post. I'm still busy and stressed but try to keep track of the plants. Lithops do nothing except for the fulvi greenies that have decided to regenerate. The damaged Rabiea is growing first new leaves since the accident which is good news. Both kinds of Titanopsis, a couple of Aloinopsis and the Prepodesma are growing new leaves and the Stomatium is getting huge. I'll post some pictures of them soon but now to the Frithia seedlings. They grow surprisingly well in all the heat and (filtered) sun light. I even let the substrate dry from time to time because I'm afraid of overwatering (you remember the poor mother plant of these guys). So far the kids look happy, I think.

  1. That is so cute, they do grow a little different to Fenes. Do you water from top? LT

    1. They grow really well at this stage, no complains. I'm still sceptical about how it'll go when they're bigger though. We'll see. :)
I water from top and not so much. Only the top pumice layer gets wet, I think.

    1. True. Alone the way the new leaves grow is pretty strange haha :)

  8. They look terrific! And you're keeping great care of your plants- I remember graduate school -- I would not have been able to keep a cactus in a Phoenix, Arizona garden alive at that time of my life. Heck, I would not have been able to keep a Moonrock alive on the Moon....

    1. Yeah haha, I think the fact that they're succulents helps a lot. They can live without you for a while. But you're right, with all the stress and worries it's really difficult..

    1. Thanks Sonia. The mother plant of these little guys died on me, too. I couldn't do anything about it. Hopefully it will work better with plants that grew at my place, not somewhere else... Good luck with yours!
